Mautic Support: How To Create An Automated Email Campaign

How To Create An Automated Email Campaign

The automated campaign enables you to create a powerful personalized campaign to turn your prospects into customers and to nurture your existing customers.

Automated campaign workflow assists your marketing efforts and engages your contacts. These engagements can be created to occur on predefined time intervals or in response to specific contact actions.

The Mautic provides you a blank canvas to build your marketing campaign workflow. The overall builder is easy to use.

How To Create An Automated Email Campaign

Go to Campaign>New and click on Launch Campaign Builder after filling Name, Description, and other required fields.

Once you click on Launch Campaign Builder, you’ll be prompted to choose a contact source. There are two options for contact sources: Contact segments and Campaign forms. One or both can be added to the campaign.

After selecting sources, the next step is to add decisions, actions, and/or conditions.

Decisions

It includes all the actions initiated by the contact, like downloading an asset, opening an email, visiting a landing page, etc.

Decisions are taken in response to an action and have two outcomes.

Advertisements

These two options are denoted by the green and red decision points on the decision. This process is typically referred to as a decision tree.

  • Green Points: This is considered as a result of a contacts direct action such as the opening of an email or submitting a form.
  • Red Points: This is considered as a result of a contact not taking direct action.

Actions

It includes those things which are initiated by you. These are controlled by you and affect your contacts involved in the campaign. Sending an email, adjusting a contact’s point, modifying contact’s segments, etc. comes under it.

When you create a campaign you have to select one of these actions to begin the workflow.

Conditions

Conditions can be used to implement different actions based on a contact’s data.

There are 2 types of conditions

  1. Conditions based on Contact Field Value.
  2. Conditions based on Form Field Value.
Positive status Condition Path (Green Points)

Actions attached to the green point of a condition are considered as positive status points. The status condition path is taken as a result of the condition at the end of the delay set (trigger, delay or specific date).

Negative status Condition Path (Red Points)

Actions attached to the red point of a condition are considered as negative status points. This path is taken as a result of negative status for the condition at the end of the delay set (trigger, delay or specific date).

Once you’re done with the workflow, Apply the changes, close the builder, and Save & Close.
