How to Disable Google Hangout In Google Calendar

Disable Google Hangout

By default, Google Calendar adds Google hangout video chat link whenever a new Google Calendar event is created.

If you want to disable the Google Hangouts video setting in the calendar event, you can follow the following steps.

  • Sign in to Google Admin Console
  • Click G Suite > Calendar
  • Click sharing settings
  • Under Video Calls, uncheck ‘Automatically add video calls to events created by a user.’

Remember, once turned off a Google Hangout link will not appear in your calendar invites unless you add them manually. To add click Add a video call whenever you create a Google Calendar event.

But in case if you change your mind and wants to enable automatic video calls to your events, then instead of ‘uncheck’ ‘check’ “Automatically add video calls to events created by a user.”
